Dan Plante

Drawing from his extensive experience as both a player and an agent, Dan is committed to helping clients secure the best possible options and providing them with the expert guidance to so they and their families can make informed decisions for their amateur and professional careers.

 

In 2008, after seven years of representing athletes through a larger agency, Dan founded Forward Hockey to realize his vision of providing exceptional client service through authentic and lasting relationships with players and their families.

 

Dan has forged strong connections with his clients and built a reputation as a straightforward negotiator on their behalf with various clubs. Whether he is negotiating multi-million dollar NHL contracts or securing amateur tryout offers for new graduates, the clients' best interests always take precedence.

 

By intentionally maintaining a small client base, Dan identifies quality players with his sharp eye for talent and guides them through the different levels of hockey toward a successful professional career.

 

Dan is well-versed in the various levels of amateur and professional hockey. Before becoming an agent, he enjoyed nearly a decade of professional play, notably participating in 159 games with the NHL's New York Islanders, where he received the Bobby Nystrom Award for exemplifying "leadership, hustle, and dedication."

 

Dan won a Turner Cup in 2000 and a Calder Cup in 2002 with the AHL's Chicago Wolves. Internationally, he proudly represented Team USA multiple times, culminating in a bronze medal at the World Ice Hockey Championships in Vienna, Austria.

 

During his collegiate career, Dan played a crucial role in helping the University of Wisconsin Badgers reach the NCAA tournament finals in 1992, contributing to another NCAA tournament appearance as well. Before attending Wisconsin, he spent two years each at Edina High School in Minnesota and Hayward High School in Wisconsin.

Eric Quinlan

A Boston native, Eric is a key member of the Forward Hockey team and a licensed attorney in Massachusetts. He has more than 10 years of experience representing NHL players and other professionals playing in other top leagues.   

 

Eric lives on the North Shore of Massachusetts with his wife and two daughters.  He completed his undergraduate degree at UMass-Dartmouth ('09), and graduated from New England Law Boston ('12).

Nick Martino

Northeastern University School of Law

Boston College

Nick is a licensed attorney in Massachusetts and has been representing NHL players for more than a decade. He graduated from Boston College ('08), where he served as a team video coordinator for the school’s 2008 NCAA national championship team.  He later graduated from Northeastern University School of Law ('12). 

 

Nick started his legal career in private practice, focusing on residential real estate transactions, before moving to full-time player representation. He resides on the North Shore of Massachusetts with his wife and two sons.
